Last night it was looking a little better than the ground beef it looked like on Tuesday night.

While on the subject of gore...we all went Halloween costume shopping tonight. The kids wanted costumes this year so we went all out and bought costumes for the entire family. I am really hoping it is not freezing Wednesday night because if it is, I may be dangling icicles from my bone necklace and bracelet/anklet instead of running around in my bare feet speaking caveman! Cavewomen usually don't live where it is cold and if they do they throw on some fur, which of I own none. Eric and Tanner are going to be priests - not sure why they both went with the same costume (I know, how original) but Party City was out of the convict costume Tanner wanted, which would have been so great for him, and Taryn is a Devilicious Diva in pink. Taryn has a Halloween party to attend on Saturday night, we've also been invited to one and both the kids are going trick-or-treating with their friends on Wednesday night. Around here it is a contest to see how much candy each of the kids can get with each one wanting to out do the other. On Sunday night, we are going to have a little Halloween party of our own with some ghoulish food and scary movies to set us up for the holiday! Anybody for some SAW IV?

Nothing much else going on here today. We did make a trip to Michael's tonight so I could use my JoAnn's 50% off coupons on some art supplies. Gotta love those coupies! I am trying to be really good about organizing my schedule so that I can have time to spend in my art room more than I have been or have that extra time with friends or shopping when the urge hits. I've done very well with completing my work around lunch time this week and I am liking how it is working out which affords me time to do other things with the remainder of my day. The biggest problem I have with it though is making sure I get to bed on time so I'm not exhausted before I even begin the next morning because let me tell you, sitting at the computer for 5 hours isn't fun when you're really tired and listening to dictation from orthopaedic and endocrinologic doctors. Not my idea of fun but hey, it pays the bills! Where else could I walk 20 feet and work in my PJ's? (and we all know how much I love my Nick & Nora's - the best PJ's on the planet!)

Sounds like everyone is going to have a howling good time this halloween. Tanner and I have plans to carve pumpkins, but I think after reading your post, I may just have to pick up some scary movies and have a little fright night for the family.
