popping in

It's crazy here.  I am trying to be a better blogger but things are getting in the way.  I guess maybe it's because it is summer and summer always brings with it it's very own schedule and way it wants things to be done.  Schedules are always wonky during the summer months and it seems like we go, go, go from dawn until dusk falling ever so happily into bed at night drifting off once our heads hit the pillow.

I've been busy painting walls and "spring cleaning" if you will.  We've got plans and we've got goals to meet.  We do have a big event coming up next spring and with it brings many guests from far and near so things are getting attention that need attention and new looks are emerging from the corners or our lovely little home that keeps the four of us cool and comfy during these hot summer months.  So much to do, so little time.

We are graciously enjoying the blessing of cool, cloudy and rainy days recently with the arrival of Hurricane Alex into Mexico the other day.  The remnants have brought with it some much needed precipitation as well as a bit of a reprieve from the horrible heat and humidity we have been having this year.  Such a welcome relief.

Must get busy with a few things before I head out the door this afternoon to meet a friend.  We will be doing some thrifting and antiquing as well as grabbing a bite to eat. So lovely to have friends who share the same love of things that I do as well as understands my crazy quirks, silly ideas and just simply gets me and loves me just the same - no matter what.  To those girls who are that sort of friend to me, you know who you are and I want to thank you for being my friend and for taking the time and sharing a part of yourself with me.
