Mercy

In my humble opinion I feel this show is a sleeper....I fell in love with Mercy immediately.  Although Veronica is a Veteran and while I am not obviously there are many other things I can completely relate to and I can't wait from one episode to the next.  Veronica says a lot of things I am thinking or feeling and puts them into words and I love that about her character.

In episode 5 this song plays at the end of the episode and I love it.

The most poignant words to me are "when you have no one, no one can hurt you".

There are currently a lot of unsettled things in my life and while I am working very hard to get through each day I am finding that I am lacking what I feel is most important.  I am exhausted and tired and my children and I just would like to live our lives in peace.  The thing that most boggles my mind is how one person can be so oblivious to the facts slapping them in the face.  And why won't he just go away?  Why is he bothering the kids?  Is it fun to him?  Is it a game?  Does he ever stop to think about what he has done to the kids and that what he tried to achieve was only about me and not about the kids?  It's always been about me.  It has never, ever been about the kids becuase if it was he would not have voluntarily terminated his rights.  No one in their right mind does that.  If you are a real man and you truly love your kids you do whatever it takes, work whatever jobs and pay whatever child support you have to so that the kids are taken care of.  You don't e-mail them and tell them you only want to be sure they have everything they need and want and hope that they are having a good life.  (This is among the other crap that he is saying which is all lies.  Every last bit of it.  Why does he harp on "the truth" and claim I don't want the kids to see him because he will tell them "the truth"?  WTF?  They are living the truth.)  It should have always been about the kids.  Always.  For me it is always about the kids.   Unfortunately some people aren't worthy of the air they breathe or of the space they consume.  What a miserable life that man must lead.
