I've been a bad blogger, I know. Things have just been a little on the crazy-busy side and I was hoping it would get back to normal a little earlier in the week but it didn't actually happen. Since I last blogged Halloween came and went, Tanner yanked Taryn's tooth out by tying a string to it and the door, I finally got to go to a Rubberband meeting (my art club that meets monthly) this past Sunday, I had my first official Southern Living at HOME show last night and we have had two football games, tonight's being the season ending game, both of which we won.
Tonight we played Frisco Centennial at Frisco and we really kicked some bottoms! The boys played as one team (they are usually the Blue team and the Gold team otherwise known as the 'A' and 'B' team) and they really worked well together. Tanner didn't get to play as much as he did last week but he did get some decent playing time and he did manage to get a couple of good tackles in. Last week he ran the ball for 30 yards and also had some really had some good tackles. The arm seems to be healing well though he'll have a pretty decent scar remaining. I think he is bummed the season is over but I figure he will be doing the off-season things they do here in the land of football. It's crazy how people, eat, sleep and drink football here. I've never seen anything like it. It is really like it is the one thing they live for. Weird.

Anyway...I have started (and I mean barely started) getting ready for my trip to Tampa. I tend to be one of those who packs at the last minute anymore because I can never decide what I want to take or really what I want to wear and I always pack way more than I really need. It's not like I can wear 8 outfits but hey, you just never know what may come up, right?

My niece who will be 1 on Tuesday finally walked for the first time tonight. I was on the phone with my sister when she did it. I wish I had been there to see it. Tanner taught her older sister to walk when she was visiting two years ago. Now there will be two little ones on the go-go-go! Fun, fun, fun! I remember those days and they seem so long ago and far away...........instead of walking it will soon be driving.

Here's something interesting, I got an e-mail from a former employer wanting me to come back to work for them. They are in dire need of a good 'typist' (that is slang for transcriptionist) and since I did such an awesome job they would like to know if I would like to come back and if not, do I know someone would might like a job. I do need to say, just for myself, that I feel really good knowing that they truly appreciated what I did and are now finally realizing it, two years after the fact. It's funny how those things tend to happen and goes along with the old addage of 'you never know what you've got until it's gone'. This is the third job I have had confirmation from of my performance being exceptional and them not realizing it until I am gone. I think I'll pat myself on the back for that one. (I'd truly like to have a glass of wine on that note but it's so late and I've got another big day tomorrow that that isn't likely ~ maybe another time!)

Way to go Tanner. I don't know much about football, but it sounds like he is good player.

Have a safe trip to Tampa.
