it's a beautiful day

As sure as the sun comes up each day, the cold temps, snow and ice left us leaving behind an amazingly beautiful past 5 days.  Mild temps in the 70s, slight breeze - yep, beautiful!  Just as luck would have it a meeting that was scheduled for this afternoon at work was canceled and the quick lunch date I had with a coworker ended up being an all day affair.  The mild temps and sun allowed us to sit outside a beautiful store called Patina Green, a place where I would just love to move in and never leave, and have lunch.  Seriously this place is stunning.

Janie and I both lunched on this beautiful organic and locally grown salad with biscuits that was topped off with a sinfully delicious chocolate chip cookie. 

When we finally checked the time it was after 4 p.m. and we realized that we had just chatted away two and a half hours in the sunshine and soft breeze.  It was a great way to spend time getting to know one another better and I had the perfect afternoon, something that I don't often take the time to do, and am so happy that I did.
